Did you go out to dinner for Valentine's Day? Have plans to go out this weekend?

The Cory Meyer team loves supporting our community and that includes local restaurants. So whether you are making plans for a dinner date, or looking for a place to take the whole family, here are some of our favorite local establishments.

Palo Cedro Inn

Serving the area since 1972, this is one of Cory's personal favorite spots. It's got a rustic country bar atmosphere with a unique experience. Guests get to cook their own steak! There are grills inside and on the outdoor patio, creating a fun social atmosphere. They provide all the fixins so you can customize your steak and potato how you like it. Affectionately know as PCI, it's a great place to go with friends after work, or bring the kids along for the fun!

In the city of Redding, check out Clearie's restaurant for their classic dishes lilke short rib stroganoff and bacon-wrapped meatloaf (Cory's favorites!). If you want to spice things up, try one of their specialty cocktails. Some are even made with dry ice for a smokey effect! They're open late and have a nice full bar for a great end to your evening.

Moonstone Bistro
Focused on organic, seasonal, local ingredients, the chef at Moonstone Bistro trained with some of the best culinary leaders in the country. The restaurant is v
ery intimate (which means small!), and is laid out so you can see the kitchen and watch the chef and his team at work. It creates a cool vibe, and the food is incredible. The service is also excellent, creating a smooth experience all around. The chef might even come out and make sure everything was enjoyable. All of this quality comes at a price, but it's worth it!

One of the nicest restaurants in town, Mosaic is a great place for a nice dinner out. Whether it's a business dinner, nice date night or special occasion, they deliver! Sandy, a Cory Meyer agent, recently wne there with family for his mom's birthday. One of the highlights was the fantastic dessert menu! It's a new-ish place and has a beautiful view of the Sundial Bridge over the Sacramento River. When it's lit up at night, it's particularly beautiful. We recommend going for a walk over the bridge after dinner.

Sometimes you just want a burger and a brew, which is what Woody's is all about. As a brewery, they serve their own beer (no hard alcohol). Everything at Woody's is large! The room is a big open space and the portions are generous. You're definitey not going to walk away hungry! It's very familly friendly, and there aren't any TVs to distract you from spending time together. It can get a little loud at times, which means you don't have to worry about your kids disturbig anyone! The owners are friendly and can often be found mingling with guests.

These local spots are some of our favorites. How about you? Where do you like to go out for dinner in our community?
