Lunch in Redding California

I love to eat out!  In fact, going to the gym and eating out are the main things I do outside of work in Redding.

Lunch is a great opportunity for connecting over food. Could be a business meeting or catching up with a friend. Sometimes lunch is just about grabbing a  bite on your own, but that doesn't mean it can't be a good experience!

I'm not a food critic or anything, so these are really just my personal picks.

I’m a simple guy. So I like simple, down-home places with good food and good service. With that in mind, here are my top 5 places to have lunch in Redding…

Thai Hut

I enjoy going to the Thai Hut, and I've gotten to know the staff at this place. My favorite dish is the pumpkin curry. Yum!

Taqueria Los Gordos

In my opinion, this is the best Mexican food in Redding. They've got lots of good options, but I go for the carnitas.

From the Hearth

When I'm planning a lunch meeting, I'll often suggest From The Hearth. It's a clean environment, and they've got great salads and good coffee.

Carnegie’s

Carnegie's is amazing. It’s been in our community for a long time. It's my go-to place for a nice lunch downtown. I started going there years ago when I was working out of a real estate office nearby.  I recommend the Apple Blue Cheese Walnut Salad. (Be sure to add chicken!)

San Franscisco Deli

It’s all about the Tri Tips Sandwich!  Wednesdays and Fridays are "Tri Tip Days." Make sure to get a side of their bar-b-que sauce to dip.

.

There are many other good places. These are just some of the places I frequent.  What are your favorite places to go for lunch?

We love sharing some of our favorite things about Redding. It's a great community and I hope you'll get out and enjoy some of these places.
